Meal time verses

To call the Fire Fairies when lighting the meal table candle:

Fire Fairies come to us,

Bring your fire from the sun

If the candle does not light straight away I continue to sing:

I can light a candle, God can light a star

Both are bright and wondrous shining where they are.

Blessing:

Blessings on the blossoms

Blessings on the roots

Blessings on the leaves and stems

And blessings on the fruits.

After eating:

Thank you, thank you Mother Earth

Thank you for our food.
